Paint & Robotics Technician - Day Shift (Monday - Friday; 7AM - 3PM)

The Role: Paint & Robotics Technician

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Paint & Robotics Technician, based out of our Charlestown, Indiana location. Responsibilities would include:

• Robot Programing & Optimization: Create, modify, and optimize 6-axis robot paths and paint parameters (gun distance, trigger points, fan patterns) to improve transfer efficiency and reduce paint consumption
• System Setup: Independently set up and calibrate automated spray equipment and applicators for new and in-production parts.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve robotic, mechanical, electrical, or paint process issues on the production floor to minimize downtime.
• Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance and repair end-of-arm tooling, paint robots, and secondary equipment.
• Quality Control: Ensure paint finish meets OEM specifications (film build, adhesion, appearance)
• Documentation: Maintain updated, accurate robot programs, standard work instructions, and setup sheets.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an automated, industrial manufacturing environment, specifically working with paint robots.
• Programming Skills: Proven hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting 6-axis robots (FANUC or similar).
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of paint application techniques, fluid deliver systems, and coating processes.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to perform root cause analysis on paint defects.
• Education: Technical diploma or certificate in Robotics, Mechatronics, or Automation (or equivalent experience).
