As a vital part of the therapeutic team, you’ll work closely with licensed Occupational Therapists, educators, and families to help students achieve their goals and thrive in the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
• Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
• Minimum of one year of recent experience – school or pediatric setting preferred
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and meeting state/district continuing education requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of effective occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed OT
• Implement activities and interventions tailored to students’ educational and developmental needs
• Monitor progress, document outcomes, and assist the OT in updating treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to optimize student success
• Keep thorough records and meet all state and district standards for compliance
• Engage in professional growth and remain updated on best practices
