Part-time Accounting Specialist

Location: Youth Home, Inc./Behavioral Health Services of Arkansas - Little Rock, AR 72210. Position Type: Part Time (generally 20‑30 hours weekly). Shift: Day. Category: Accounting. This position works under the direction of the Finance Director and is responsible for all accounts payable functions. Duties & Responsibilities Manage accounts payable; process invoices ensuring proper account codes and cut checks according to internal control process. Utilize Positive Pay on the banking website. Reconcile corporate credit cards. Assist with year‑end financial audit as necessary. Assist with budget input as necessary. Maintain W‑9 file for 1099 vendors. Maintain accurate confidential records. Perform other duties as outlined by the Finance Director. Qualifications Strong written and verbal skills; ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, licensed associates and the general public. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Basic understanding of calculation of figures for use in payroll and accounting procedures. Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred. Experience: Three years of accounts payable experience highly desired. Working knowledge of accounting principles required; QuickBooks experience desired. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Team members are required to sit, stand, talk, see, walk and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to personally restrain patients and maintain a current tuberculosis skin test. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. Noise level usually moderate.
