Head of Product Design & User Experience

Location: Brooklyn Center, Minnesota — in person

SALERRU Inc. is building a trust-first peer-to-peer marketplace focused on safer listings, clearer exchanges, stronger payments, and better buying and selling experiences.

We are seeking a hands-on product design leader to own SALERRU’s end-to-end user experience across mobile and web. This person will help transform product ideas, requirements, and marketplace workflows into intuitive, polished experiences for buyers and sellers.

What You’ll Lead

• Own product design and UX strategy across SALERRU
• Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
• Design mobile-first experiences for iOS, Android, and web
• Build and maintain SALERRU’s design system and reusable components
• Design buyer, seller, listing, checkout, account, messaging, trust, and marketplace experiences
• Conduct user research and usability testing
• Translate research and feedback into product improvements
• Work closely with the Founder/CEO, Mobile/Frontend, and Backend/Payments leadership
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure designs are implemented accurately
• Help establish SALERRU’s long-term product-design standards and processes

What We’re Looking For

• Strong professional product design and UX experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating production digital products
• Experience designing mobile or mobile-first applications
• Advanced experience with Figma or comparable product-design tools
• Strong understanding of user flows, information architecture, interaction design, and usability
• Experience building or maintaining design systems
• Ability to move from early concepts to polished, developer-ready designs
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Marketplace, e-commerce, fintech, consumer-app, or startup experience is a plus

Important Compensation Disclosure

SALERRU is currently a bootstrapped, pre-revenue startup. Equity ownership is a central part of the compensation structure for early leadership roles. Any cash compensation, stipend, or future salary arrangement will be documented separately and should not be assumed unless included in the final written offer.

Equity terms will be documented separately and are subject to applicable company agreements, vesting requirements, approvals, and final executed documentation.

Work Location

This is an in-person leadership opportunity based at the SALERRU office in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. Candidates willing to relocate may also be considered.
