Dental Office Treatment Coordinator and Billing Specialist– Private Practice | Monday–Thursday

Innovative Dentistry is a single-dentist private practice in Phoenix seeking an experienced, dependable Dental Office Treatment Coordinator and Billing Specialist to join our front office and help create an organized, welcoming experience for both our patients and team.

This is a four-day workweek, Monday through Thursday, and an excellent opportunity for someone who can confidently prepare and present treatment plans and consistently and effectively submit and resolve dental claims and patient billing. This role involves daily interaction with dental practitioner and clinical staff to ensure accurate insurance verification, claim processing, and patient billing within standard office hours. This position is ideal for someone seeking a stable, long-term role with a private dental practice.

What You'll Do

• Maximizing the doctor's and hygienists' schedules
• Presenting treatment plans clearly and confidently
• Verifying dental insurance benefits
• Managing insurance claims, billing, follow-up and accounts receivable
• Collecting payments and discussing financial arrangements
• Coordinating patient financing when needed
• Actively pursuing overdue patient accounts
• Maintaining accurate patient information and treatment plans in dental software
• Help with back office tasks when needed
• Addressing patient questions or concerns professionally and appropriately

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience with dental insurance billing, claims and A/R
• Solid understanding of dental terminology and procedures
• Confidence explaining recommended dental treatment to patients
• Comfortable discussing treatment fees, insurance benefits and financial arrangements
• Confident and consistently pursuing overdue patient accounts in a professional manner
• Ability to resolve patient concerns professionally while following applicable state and dental board guidelines
• Experience with Open Dental Software

A Plus

• Dental assisting experience
• Current dental X-ray certification
