The Senior Procurement Manager leads a small team responsible for direct materials procurement, focusing on driving cost efficiency, managing vendor relations, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, this role requires strategic oversight of contract negotiation and budget management while utilizing custom in-house tools to enhance procurement operations.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals
- Identify and execute cost reduction initiatives
- Evaluate and select vendors based on performance and compliance
- Monitor procurement activities to ensure regulatory and policy compliance
- Manage procurement budgets and expenditure forecasting
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement management
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in contract management and negotiation
- Strong supplier relationship management skills
- Proven leadership capabilities in small teams
- Experience with market research to inform procurement decisions
- Excellent communication skills
