Doctor of Medicine | Oncology - General/Other Location: Minneapolis, MN Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Medical Oncology Physician Hourly Pay Rate: $463.13 Job Description: We are seeking a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist with Hematology expertise to join our inpatient hospital team. The ideal candidate must hold a Minnesota medical license or IMLC certification and be available to start ASAP. Credentialing typically takes approximately 90 days. The physician will have privileges at United Hospital, Abbott Northwestern, and Mercy Hospital. Responsibilities include managing 20-25 patients per day, performing malignant and benign oncology procedures, and providing inpatient medical oncology care and hematology consults. The role involves leading the medical oncology team, supervising Advanced Practice Providers, and handling inpatient and new outpatient consults with same-day documentation expectations (maximum of 3 days for outpatient). The schedule includes inpatient services Monday to Monday, from 8:00 am to 8:00 am, with overnight call from home (medical oncology-specific calls only), approximately 8-10 hours per day. Day shift hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with no outpatient call coverage required—optionally, assistance with outpatient coverage may be available. Support staff includes one APP during weekdays and one on weekends to assist with rounding. Minimal calls are anticipated during overnight home call, supported by nurse triage and hospitalist services.
