Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

This position is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The role encompasses a comprehensive approach to patient care, utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and essential nursing skills to address the unique needs of patients across varying physical and developmental stages.

Key Responsibilities

Assess the health status and needs of patients in the Labor & Delivery unit.
Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Document patient care and progress in compliance with organizational policies.
Ensure high-quality nursing services and care delivery standards are maintained.
Oversee nursing practice and guide nursing staff under your supervision.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards in nursing care.

Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of recent high-volume Labor & Delivery experience.
Willingness to obtain Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certification within 48 hours of offer.
Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification within 48 hours of offer.
Current COVID-19 vaccination record is mandatory, with no declinations accepted.
Open availability to work the facility's schedule, including weekends as determined by organizational needs.
Prior travel nursing experience is preferred.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.

Certifications Required

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
NIH Stroke Scale/Score (NIHSS)

Candidates must be able to demonstrate accountability and professionalism in all aspects of patient care and must follow up-to-date nursing practices and safety standards.
