Quality Engineer

Job Purpose Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols and methods to inspect and test in‑process raw materials, production equipment and finished products. Ensures that all activities and items comply with company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Identifies inspection trends and recommends corrective actions. Follows manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures and ensures compliance with in‑house and external specifications such as GMP and ISO. Documents and interprets inspection support documents and records. Responsibilities Develop, evaluate and implement QA protocols for inspection and testing of raw materials, equipment, and finished products. Ensure compliance with company QA standards and government regulations. Analyze inspection data, identify trends and recommend corrective actions. Operate manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures. Verify compliance with in‑house and external specifications (GMP, ISO). Organize, document and interpret inspection support documents and records. Develop and implement a lean/6 Sigma deployment plan within the plant. Provide progress reports and action plans for lean/6 Sigma implementation. Education and Experience 5+ years experience as a Quality Engineer. Bachelor of Science, or equivalent coursework/project background in Surface Mount Technology (SMT), QC procedures and quality tools such as FMEA and DOE. Six Sigma or Lean‑Kaizen experience is a plus. Proficiency with computer skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with customers. PCB and contract manufacturing experience required. Benefits Salary range (annual): $93,000 – $103,000.
