Engineering Manager | Product Development & Mechanical Design

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a talented Product Development team. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring engineers, driving innovation, developing new products, and collaborating across the business to bring ideas from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Development Engineers, Designers, and Drafters
• Drive a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
• Manage the full product development lifecycle from concept through production launch
• Design and develop new products while improving existing product lines
• Partner with executive leadership and sales teams to align product strategy with customer and market needs
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, margin improvement, and value engineering
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance teams to optimize product performance and profitability
• Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and deliverables
• Utilize SolidWorks and CAD tools to create and maintain product designs and technical documentation
• Oversee prototype development, testing, and refinement activities
• Design wood frames and structural components while working closely with pattern makers and production teams
• Standardize components and processes to improve efficiency and product consistency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering or product development teams
• Strong background in mechanical design and product development
• Experience launching products from concept through manufacturing
• Proficiency with SolidWorks
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, sourcing, quality, and operations
• Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
