General Manager

Position: General Manager Location: Endwell, NY Schedule: Full Time Salary: Starting at $90,000/yr, Negotiable Based on Experience Job Summary The General Manager reports to the Resident Vice President and is responsible for managing the daily operations of the unit (culinary, housekeeping, and maintenance). The General Manager is responsible for exceeding all financial and operational goals, client objectives, customer satisfaction, people management and development while creating a positive work environment for staff. Key Responsibilities Culinary : Direct and assist the Chef and hourly staff in menu writing, cost control, food production, execution and presentation. Ensure quality of all food products and meet standards. Oversee catering operations and assist team as needed. Assist with food production of grab and go items, desserts, breakfast and lunch specialties and executive catering needs. Operations : Maintain vendor and client relationships. Oversee supplies, equipment, work areas. Arrange equipment purchases and repairs. Work with Chef on purchasing. Determine production schedules and staff requirements, including recruitment. Handle payroll processing and other financials. Participate in kitchen and cafe housekeeping tasks. Ensure company safety, food handling, sanitation, uniform guidelines, and productivity standards. Financial : Manage department controllable expenses and adhere to budgetary guidelines. Generate financial reports and P&L analysis. Develop operational forecasts and manage unit accounting. Oversee inventory management and price updates. People : Provide direction and manage performance of all direct and indirect reports ensuring employee development and engagement. Motivate employees through communication and encouragement. Train staff in cooking, garnishing, presentation, and customer service. Lead by example to provide superior customer service. Required Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree, culinary school certificate or degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5-7 years’ experience in a Senior Living General Manager role required. Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. Required Certifications ServSafe Certification Choke Safety Certification Allergen Awareness Certification Skills & Aptitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer/Client focus.
