Behavior Support Specialist

Job Summary The Behavior Support Specialist will work closely with clients, families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams to develop effective behavior support strategies and ensure high-quality care. Key Facts Schedule : M-F 8am-5pm (40 hrs) Location : Columbus, OH 43215 Compensation : $22 to $25 per hour. Job Type : Direct Hire. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support plans based on client needs, goals, and person-centered service principles. Advocate for clients to ensure services promote dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life. Provide training, coaching, and guidance to staff on behavior support strategies, documentation, and crisis response. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, caregivers, and community providers to coordinate effective support. Respond to crisis situations professionally and use appropriate de-escalation and intervention techniques. Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, behavior data, and related records in accordance with care standards.
