1. Strong Qualys expertise Must be hands-on with Qualys VM, scanning, configuration, optimization, reporting, and troubleshooting.
2. Vulnerability Management Strong experience managing vulnerability scanning and remediation programs.
3. Scripting & Automation Hands-on scripting/automation experience (Python, PowerShell, APIs, etc.) to automate security processes.
4. AI Integration Experience using AI/GenAI for security automation, vulnerability analysis, reporting, or operational efficiency .
5. Engineering Leadership Ability to act as a technical SME, troubleshoot complex issues, establish standards, and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical engineer and SME for the Qualys platform and associated vulnerability management capabilities.

• Provide technical direction for the design, configuration, optimization, and ongoing engineering of Qualys scanning capabilities.

• Establish and promote engineering standards and best practices for scanning, reporting, integrations, automation, and platform operations.

• Lead troubleshooting of complex technical issues and partner with infrastructure, security, cloud, application, and vendor teams as needed.

• Mentor other engineers and help develop deeper Qualys and vulnerability management expertise across the team.
