At a Glance

• Pay: $41.88/hour + $0.25/hour tool allowance on all straight-time hours worked
• Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Thursday
• Hours: May range between 4:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Overtime: Fridays as needed; occasional weekend work may be available based on production needs

A Day in the Life

You arrive before dawn to walk the line with production, checking status on punch presses and robotic cells. A press trips a fault—within minutes you’ve read the schematic, traced the circuit, and restored operation. Mid-morning, you swap bearings and align a shaft on a roll-former to within ±.005. After lunch, you rewire a control panel to NEC standards, verify with test equipment, and run the machine to confirm results. Before you clock out, you tidy the work area, complete PMs, and stage tools for tomorrow’s startup at 4:00 AM.

Equipment You’ll Support

Large and medium punch presses, metal shears, robotic equipment, roll-forming machines, compressors, spray-painting equipment, welders, and other manufacturing machinery.

What You’ll Tackle

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and controls.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, prints, and OEM documentation.
• Execute preventive maintenance on production equipment—both electrical and mechanical.
• Repair, replace, rewire, clean, and test electrical assemblies, panels, components, and controls.
• Operate and test machinery to validate proper function after service.
• Resolve mechanical issues involving bearings, pumps, shafts, and punch presses.
• Use calipers, micrometers, rulers, and other precision instruments to verify wear and tolerances.
• Dismantle equipment to access and replace defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
• Perform machine repair and setup to tolerances of approximately ±.005; complete setup tasks including turning copper.
• Install to code—adhere to NEC requirements and sound electrical practices.
• Operate a forklift as needed and maintain an orderly, clean workspace.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements; execute other maintenance tasks as assigned.

What You Bring

• Journeyman Electrician required.
• Welding skills required.
• Approximately 3+ years of journey-level industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Expert electrical troubleshooting with solid mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical prints.
• Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment, specialized maintenance tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• High school diploma, technical school education, apprenticeship, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
• Capacity to safely meet the physical demands of industrial maintenance work.
• Personal tool kit that meets the company’s position tool list requirements.
