About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Operating Room Nurse – Orthopedic Surgery Center – Virginia**Start Date:** October 19, 2026 **Location:** Northern Virginia **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM (end times dependent on case volume)**Highlights:** - 8-week assignment at a 2-operating room ambulatory surgery center specializing in orthopedic procedures- Focus on total joint replacements (hips, knees, shoulders), sports medicine (arthroscopy), spine surgery (ACDF, lumbar laminectomy), podiatry, and hand procedures- 1:1 patient ratio with dedicated circulator/scrub and assistant support- Paper charting system in use- Grey scrubs provided- Potential to float to other centers within the division/area**Requirements:** - Active RN license- 1–2 years of general operating room experience- 1–2 years of orthopedic spine experience required- Advanced skills in orthopedic total joints, sports medicine, spine, podiatry, and hand procedures strongly preferred- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This is an excellent opportunity to work in a focused orthopedic surgical environment with a diverse case mix and predictable weekday schedule.
