Product Owner Localization & Billing (all genders)

As Product Owner Localization & Billing (all genders), you'll take ownership of localization readiness for our platform with a strong focus on the billing domain – defining direction, driving evolution, and ensuring alignment with our overall product strategy and the needs of our international customer base. You'll work closely with engineering, finance, customer success, and other product teams to deliver capabilities that make chargecloud market-ready across Europe. Your domain spans key areas such as localization fundamentals (formatting, time zones, regional settings), tax & fiscal compliance readiness, invoicing & billing runs, billing-related integrations (e.g. ERP/finance exports), and output management (invoice templates, archiving). What you will do Take full ownership of localization readiness (billing focus) and ensure sustained progress across all related topics Own and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing autonomously with product strategy, customer needs, and compliance requirements in mind Define and refine requirements with engineering leads and relevant stakeholders; translate complex localization, billing, and regulatory topics into clear deliverables and measurable outcomes Drive international rollouts and market entries – ensuring chargecloud is ready for new countries (regional settings, formatting, time zones, tax/fiscal requirements, invoicing rules, multi-currency) Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal/Compliance, and Customer Operations to ensure requirements are understood, implemented, and validated Manage service providers and integrate third-party solutions Find methods to prove concepts and collaborate with customers on a regular basis. Maintain and communicate a roadmap that balances new market entry, regulatory changes, and platform stability Ensure transparent cross-team collaboration and alignment with adjacent domains (e.g. CRM, Tariff Management, Platform Services). Work closely within our Product Development organization, iteratively delivering new capabilities and improving existing ones Your profile Several years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a SaaS/platform environment You hold a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field Strong ownership mindset and hands‑on experience with modern product practices (iterative delivery, outcome‑oriented roadmaps, agile), including the ability to manage complex backlogs and use Jira/Confluence Proven experience in international billing systems, invoicing, and localization (multi‑currency, dunning, regional settings, and output management/archiving) Solid understanding of international tax compliance frameworks (e.g., VAT, reverse charge) and familiarity with ERP/finance integration concepts Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate smoothly between business, regulatory, and technical audiences in both German and English Structured organized, and decisive working style with a calm, pragmatic approach to changing priorities and dependencies Prior experience in the e‑mobility industry is a plus Integrate AI into your daily work to move faster, solve problems smarter, and continuously improve outcomes - because this is core to how we scale and innovate as a company Why us?
