We are seeking an experienced Project Manager 3 to lead and oversee large-scale, strategic, and complex IT software and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing enterprise-level projects, coordinating large cross-functional teams, managing vendors, and ensuring successful project delivery within defined scope, schedule, and budget.

The Project Manager will collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, senior leadership, and external vendors to drive project execution and achieve organizational objectives. This role requires strong leadership, advanced Agile project management expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee large-scale IT software development and infrastructure projects.

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, resources, and deliverables.

• Coordinate and manage cross-functional project teams involving 50 or more team members.

• Apply Agile project management methodologies to support successful project delivery.

• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.

• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, and change requests.

• Oversee vendor relationships, contractual deliverables, performance, and project commitments.

• Participate in developing Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and contracts.

• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.

• Prepare project status reports, executive presentations, and project documentation.

• Communicate project updates, risks, issues, and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Facilitate project meetings, planning sessions, stakeholder reviews, and status discussions.

• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and agreed timelines.

• Manage competing priorities and resolve complex project challenges.

• Exercise initiative and independent judgment in project planning and decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of six years of professional experience as a Project Manager managing IT software or infrastructure projects involving 50 or more team members.

• Advanced experience managing Agile projects.

• Advanced experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

• Extensive experience in vendor management.

• Experience writing or participating in the development of SOWs, RFPs, or contracts.

• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and teams.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

• Experience managing enterprise-level IT initiatives and complex system integrations.

• Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and senior leadership.

• Experience in project governance, risk management, change control, and executive reporting.

• Experience managing third-party vendors and external implementation partners.

Location and Work Requirements

• Candidates must be located within 90 miles of Lansing, Michigan, at the time of submission.

• Hybrid work arrangement with onsite attendance required two days per week starting on Day 1.

• Remote-only arrangements are not available.

• Candidates must be available for an in-person interview if requested.

Interview Process

• First round: Virtual interview.

• Second round: May be conducted in person.
