The team is expected to include a Product Owner, potentially a second PO, and ideally BAs, with further portal resources likely to be added.The focus is on aself-built portal solution, integrating multiple capabilities to improve the overall customer and workforce experience.Project Overview & ObjectivesThe key priority is building and delivering the portal capability, with a particular focus on the claims experience forAbsence and Group Life & Disability.The portal will also support:Billing and administrationDigital claims intake and managementBroader customer/workforce experience capabilitiesThe immediate requirement is someone who can own the strategy, vision, roadmap and prioritization, with the PO and BAs owning much of the tactical execution.This is a build-focused environment – the priority is delivering capability rather than simply assessing or challenging existing outcomes.Non-Negotiable Experience:Direct portal product experience – candidates must have proven experience owning and delivering portal products. This is the key requirement.Insurance carrier experience, ideally within Absence and/or Group Life & Disability.Strong understanding of the claims journey and claims experience through a portal, with the ability to demonstrate how they have delivered or improved comparable capabilities.Proven Product Management leadership with experience owning product strategy, vision, roadmap and prioritization, including defining and prioritizing Epics.Candidates who cannot demonstrate direct portal Product experience, ideally within an insurance carrier environment and supporting Absence / Group Life & Disability claims, will not be considered.Experience Requirements: The strongest candidates will understand both the technology and business/customer context, and ideally have experience building comparable portal capabilities within another carrier.Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementAbility to act as a spokesperson for the product across Sales and DistributionPassionate and engaging communicator who can create excitement around what is being builtStrong strategic ownership with the ability to translate vision into clear prioritiesComfortable working independently and collaborativelyTeam environment is relatively relaxed and collaborativeKey Search PriorityThe non-negotiable is direct portal experience, ideally within an insurance carrier environment and specifically supporting Absence / Group Life & Disability claims. Strong Product leadership is important, but domain and portal experience will be the key differentiator.
