Accounting Specialist

Delta Dental of Kentucky is looking for a bright and motivated individual to join our Finance team as an Accountant. Primary Job Responsibilities Manage accounts payable using accounting software and other programs Unclaimed property processes and filings Analyze workflow processesand identify improvements Assist with month end close and monthly financials Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling accounts Qualifications Position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and up to five years’ experience in a related role. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Position requires working knowledge of accounting principles; working knowledge using accounting software, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; demonstrated ability to collect and compile relevant data; excellent verbal and written communication skills; great attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to evaluate complex information and think systematically, along with strong business analysis skills; able to work well independently and as part of a team; possess a thorough understanding of the company’s business processes and the industry at large.
