Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic at our production facility in Wilsonville, Oregon. This role operates during the Swing Shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with a $0.50 shift differential. You will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and functionality of our mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, including disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration.
• Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
• Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
• Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions using voltmeters and other testing devices.
• Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
• Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair machine electrical and controls malfunctions, including 3-phase motor replacements, photo eye adjustments, servos, machine timing, and circuit replacements.
• Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.
• Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
• Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary.
• Perform other tasks and special assignments as requested by management.

Essential Skills

• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• 3+ years of experience in a relevant field or technical schooling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Production maintenance work history.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced, highly automated, and clean food-grade facility. Hair nets and face nets are required if you have facial hair. Overtime is always available for those interested.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, OR.

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $33.50/hr.
