UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is home to a dynamic and close-knit Heart and Vascular team, with two Cath Labs, Cardiac Rehab, and Cardio diagnostics where clinical excellence meets cutting-edge technology. We specialize in interventional cardiac catheterizations, peripheral procedures, and electrophysiology device implantations, providing an exceptional opportunity for Registered Nurses (RNs) to elevate their skills while making a direct impact on patient outcomes. With a servant-leader manager with 10 years of experience at UF Health Spanish Plaines, we prioritize the success and growth of our team and the community we serve.
The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant. This is a PRN Day Shift position.
Qualifications:- Education
- Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
- In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
- If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:
- -FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR
- -FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR
- -Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR
- -Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification
- -any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
- BLS required
- ACLS required
