Assistant Project ManagerThe Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the successful execution of power delivery construction projects by assisting the Project Manager with planning, coordination, scheduling, cost tracking, and daily project operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company standards and client expectations.Responsibilities:Assist in managing multiple power delivery projects, including transmission, distribution, and substation workSupport the Project Manager in coordinating project schedules, deliverables, and daily activitiesHelp oversee construction activities from project initiation through closeoutManage day-to-day project documentation, including Plans of the Day (PODs), time sheets, and reportingAssist with project planning, budgeting, cost tracking, and resource allocationMonitor project progress and help ensure construction activities align with approved schedulesSupport client communications and help manage expectations throughout the project lifecycleCollaborate with management to help establish project objectives and assign responsibilities to field and support staffParticipate in job site visits to observe progress, support field leadership, and help ensure compliance with safety and quality standardsAssist with issue resolution and contribute to logical, timely decision-makingQualifications:Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environmentStrong organizational, communication, and time management skillsProfessional demeanor with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressureAbility to follow direction while also taking initiative when appropriateBasic to intermediate understanding of construction means and methods, particularly in power deliveryProficiency with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Timberline or similar construction accounting software preferredWorking knowledge of spreadsheets, email, and construction-related software toolsCompleted OSHA ET&D training (or ability to obtain)Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related fieldExperience: Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience in power delivery or heavy civil construction
