Shift Pattern: MondayFriday, 3x12s (rotating start times as needed)

Typical Shift Times: 19000730 and 17000530

Night-Shift Expectation: Pre-op first cases 05:3007:30 when no PACU patients

On-Call: Yes 24 hours of call per 6-week schedule period

Weekends: None required

Assignment Details:

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements:

Licensure: Must have IL license in hand at time of submittal

Certifications: BLS, ACLS required

Experience: Minimum of 1 year critical care experience or experience from a Level I Trauma Center

Skills: Management of ventilated patients, vasoactive drips, dysrhythmia recognition/management, IV start and maintenance, telemetry

Charting System: Epic required

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide post-anesthesia care to adolescents, adults, and geriatrics recovering from surgical procedures.

Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and comfort levels during the recovery period.

Administer medications and manage equipment such as ventilators and vasoactive drips.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Respiratory Services and Rapid Response, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Conduct pre-op assessments and prepare patients for recovery from general anesthesia.

Compliance / Notes:

Orientation: 40 hours

RTO: Max 7 days (more requires manager approval)

Vaccines: COVID-19 not required; Flu required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

Must pass Relias EKG exam prior to assignment

Modules/pre-start training required; completion timelines provided upon offer
