Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist for a travel assignment in Lake Charles, LA. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting, providing pharmacy services with a commitment to excellence and efficiency. Pharmacists will engage with various departments, including a 17-bed ICU, cardiac cath lab, and emergency department.

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist

Prepare and dispense drug orders according to physician requests and hospital protocols
Transcribe and verify drug orders into the computerized patient medication system
Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition
Monitor patient drug therapies and provide drug information to staff and patients
Conduct clinical consultations and medication use reviews
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and quality improvement programs

Requirements of the Pharmacist

Pharmacy state licensure required (LA license required)
Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required
BLS via AHA required; ACLS via AHA preferred
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
