About This Role The Bed Access Nurse Manager at Brigham and Women's Hospital is responsible for managing capacity and access to ensure safe, efficient, and timely patient care. Schedule : Full-Time, 36 hours/week What You'll Do Manage capacity and access for patient care. Elicit patient information from referring MDs and outside facility nurses. Use triage tools and algorithms for timely patient transfers. Act as a liaison to ensure continuity of care for patients and families. Conduct initial nursing assessments including intake, diagnosis, and psychosocial evaluations. Collaborate with providers and support staff for comprehensive patient care. Document reasons for visits, testing ordered/completed, and referrals made. Requirements Education : Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Experience : 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience required. 1-2 years of patient flow, access nurse, or bed control experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications : Registered Nursing License in Massachusetts is required.
