Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher license in the state of Michigan is required
• Demonstrated experience managing caseloads for 7th-12th grade students
• Strong ability to individualize instruction, implement IEPs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Committed to supporting a diverse range of learning differences
• Open to both local and travel educators with a willingness to integrate smoothly into a new setting

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction aligned with state standards and student IEPs
• Assess student skills and needs to adapt teaching methods and materials accordingly
• Collaborate with administrators, general education teachers, and related service providers
• Effectively communicate with families regarding student progress and educational strategies
• Document progress and maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Foster a positive classroom climate that encourages student growth and independence
