Department Information Technology > Technical Services Job Location 1840 Hilliard-Rome Road, Hilliard, Ohio Additional Locations Columbus Position Type Full-Time/Regular Work Type Variable NMLS Required No Pay Classification Exempt (Salary) Grade and Compensation Band PG 19: $92,872.00 – $139,214.40 (Annually) Target Compensation $95,000 - $120,000 Position Overview The Network Administrator II is responsible for the in-house Local, MPLS/SD-WAN, and Storage Area Networks. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network, storage, and server hardware, software, and associated communication links. Also responsible for integrity of the data that resides on the network, storage, and server equipment by ensuring proper back-ups and that security measures are put in place. Responsibilities Performing network and system administration (physical and virtual). Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated. (30%) Providing hardware and software technical support to all users and providing 2nd tier support for LAN/MPLS/SD-WAN problems, system communication problems, and PC support. (30%) Administration of the Storage Area Network (SAN) and backup storage solution (20%) Managing 3rd party professional services vendors. (10%) Manage technological projects as assigned. (10%) Required Skills Network Performance Tuning, LAN/WAN Knowledge, Network Design and Implementation, Problem Solving, Strategic Planning, Multi-tasking, Quality Focus, Coordination, Technical Understanding, Quick Study, Technical Zeal. The following are also required: A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field is preferred. At least 5 years’ experience managing a network infrastructure. Must possess Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) certification or better. At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Server 2012 or better. At least 5 years of experience with VMWare ESX 6 or better. At least 3 years of experience with Cisco UCS is a plus. Experience in the management and design of mid-sized network or greater. Hardware and OS experience: Microsoft, IBM compatible PC’s with Windows 10 or better, Cisco switches and routers, network printers, and IBM Mid-Range computers. Strong project management skills in technical environments. Veeam backup skills are a plus. Storage Area Network management experience, including Pure Storage, Infinidat, or other virtual storage systems is a plus. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
