Finance & Accounting Manager

IDR is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, and technical accounting activities within a professional services organization. The company specializes in providing financial solutions and consulting services to various industries.

Position Overview for the Finance & Accounting Manager:

Support the firm's financial reporting and technical accounting functions.
Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual U.S. GAAP financial statements and related reports.
Lead initiatives to strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
Partner with various finance teams and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Play a key role in enhancing and managing the firm's financial reporting environment using Workiva.

Requirements for the Finance & Accounting Manager:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; active CPA license required.
Six or more years of progressive experience in accounting, external audit, financial reporting, or controllership.
Experience in preparing or auditing U.S. GAAP financial statements and disclosures.
Knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting including documentation and remediation.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, consolidations, financial close processes, and account reconciliations.
