Staff Accountant6 Degrees Group is recruiting for a Staff Accountant in Alpharetta, GA. This role sits within a fast-growing, high-visibility Finance team, offering direct exposure to senior finance leadership and a broad range of accounting responsibilities. The position owns key pieces of the monthly close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis, along with recurring processes like fixed assets, indirect tax, and payroll accounting. The company is scaling quickly, so there's plenty of room to grow alongside the finance organization.Responsibilities:Prepare and post journal entries and own balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accountsAnalyze monthly financial results and prepare variance analyses for managementMaintain fixed asset schedules, indirect tax filings, and payroll accounting supportServe as a primary contact for audit requests and support tax automation processes (Avalara)Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldProgressive accounting experience with strong general ledger and month-end close knowledgeExperience with Sage Intacct or a comparable ERP system preferredAdvanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
