Diesel MechanicWe are seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our service bay with experience in basic mechanics to provide services at our Eagle Grove, IA location. This position will also assist with more advanced tasks with our experienced mechanics.Responsibilities:Inspecting and replacing braking systemsInspecting and replacing tires as necessaryChecking and repairing vehicle trailer lighting systems as necessaryPerforming preventative maintenanceMaintaining detailed record of serviced equipmentAdhering to an inspection procedure checklistMake repairs accurately and timely with minimum required call-backs or re-workTraining/Experience:Welding experience (aluminum and mild steel) beneficialGeneral mechanic experienceKnowledge of shop tools and equipmentProficiency with maintenance and repair toolsGreat attention to detailGood interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationGood organization and time management skillsExcellent leadership skillsPresent a professional image in personal appearance, dress, and preparationPrior heavy equipment industry experience is beneficialPhysical Requirements:Noise level moderate to loudAptitude for mathematics and scienceMust be able to meet the physical requirements of a Diesel Mechanic, lift up to 75 pounds frequentlyManeuver on and off equipmentMust have a valid driver's license and good driving recordHigh School Diploma or equivalentASE Certification is a plusAbility to read and write EnglishComputer and electronic service information systems proficiency
