Speech Language Pathologist Long Term Care

Schedule: 8hr Days, 7AM - 3:30PM

Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements:

• Graduate of a college/university accredited by the American Speech and Hearing Association with a degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current NYS license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Eligible for or holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Must have experience in long-term care.
• Proficient with MS Office and Epic/EMR software.
• Knowledge of the PDPM reimbursement system.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients to assess their speech and language skills.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance communication abilities.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Provide training and education to patients and families regarding communication strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Stay updated on best practices in speech-language pathology.
