Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12s, with weekly guaranteed hours of 36. Weekend requirements include 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period.

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical Telemetry to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients with various medical conditions, including those post-surgery and with acute chronic issues. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a telemetry setting, adhering to established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, interpret telemetry readings, and respond to medical emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Floating to other units, including Intermediate Care and Emergency Department, as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid RN license.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience, particularly in telemetry or medical/surgical nursing.
• Experience managing a patient ratio of 1:6 is essential.
• Preferably have preceptor and charge nurse experience.
