As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Screening in New Orleans, LA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Saturday 07:00 PM – 11:30 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific procedures, screening activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a retail location. Monitor designated entry and exit points, observe customer, visitor, and team member activity, and report unusual behavior or policy concerns to site leadership. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with management and/or emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify security‑related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues. Support loss prevention and access control efforts by following post orders, verifying authorized access where required, and helping to deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Access control and badge experience is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
