Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

Registered Nurse Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Contract: 13 weeks (possible extension) Shift: 4x12 D/N rotation 0700-1900 / 1900-0700 Weekends: Every other weekend required

High-volume med-surg/telemetry unit; ortho overflow and complex long-term patients

Minimum 1 year RN experience NY RN license in hand required Required patient ratio experience: 1:6 Must be able to manage 1:5 to 1:7 on Med/Surg Charge experience required Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS (valid NIHSS must be included with submittal) Charting: Epic experience required Core clinical skills:

• Telemetry/dysrhythmia recognition and management
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Pacemaker (temporary/permanent) care
• IV starts, peripheral/PICC/central line care and management
• Blood product administration
• Feeding tube care/management
• Heparin protocols; manage drips (no titration)
• Respiratory support: HFNC, trach management, oxygen devices
• Ortho trauma/total joint post-op care; wound care/Wound VAC
• Phlebotomy, chest tubes, PCA, isolation precautions

Do not submit candidates within 75 miles of facility RTO: cannot submit candidates with more than 10 days RTO Background checks reviewed on a case-by-case basis Return-staff policy: 1 year
