Utility Worker/ Service Employee Transdev in Sandusky, OH is hiring a Utility Worker/Service Employee. The Utility Worker/Service Employee is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Key Responsibilities Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles – interior and exterior Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles Cleaning of the Facility, maintenance shop and amtrack, sweep and mop floors, clean restrooms, windows, replenishing all paper products, hand soap etc. There is a complete list of tasks provided by the Maintenance • • Manager at the time of employment. Garbage route through the city of Sandusky 3 times per week, cleaning bus shelters several times per year, returning shopping carts to correct stores that are left at the bus stops as needed. Maintaining facility grounds, picking up trash, snow removal, parking lot and sidewalks maintained including all ADA accessible areas. Report any maintenance issue to supervisor Other duties as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Physical Requirements Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
