Position Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, assembling, and preparing medical instruments and equipment for patient care while maintaining strict infection-control and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments.
• Inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments.
• Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization processes.
• Maintain accurate records and follow infection-control procedures.
• Prepare and distribute sterile supplies to medical departments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follows Tribal Health and client specific policy and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned and specified by clinical assignment and site.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications

• Licensure: CRCST or CBSPD accepted
• Certifications: BLS (AHA preferred or client specific)
• Immunizations: Based on client need
• Experience required: Based on client need
• Schedule: Based on client need
