Overview The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses to work at Clarks Summit State Hospital. The role involves providing nursing care on assigned shifts across multiple living areas while adhering to established nursing practice standards and policies. Responsibilities Provide nursing care on assigned shifts in multiple living areas. Follow established nursing practice standards, policies, and procedures. Perform essential job functions as required. Work Schedule and Additional Information Full‑time employment. Starting annual salary $67,558.00 (before taxes) for new employees in Pennsylvania. Work hours: 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) and 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM). Rotating weekends, days off, and holiday schedule. Work schedule may change based on operational needs. Overtime and travel as needed. Free parking. No telework option. Qualifications Active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania. Temporary practice permit holders must obtain licensure within one year. PA residency requirement is waived. Applicants within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing are eligible. Must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements Position falls under the Older Adult Protective Services Act; conditional offer requires criminal history reports and clearance.
