Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the surgical process by maintaining a sterile environment and assisting surgeons during procedures.

Shift Information

• 8-hour Day Shift
• Weekend, call, and holidays required
• Typical hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
• Contract duration: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Function under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and assist with nursing care and preparation of surgical patients.
• Perform technical duties related to scrub personnel, ensuring precise and efficient reactions to various situations.
• Create and maintain a sterile surgical environment, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly and safely.
• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures and may be asked to precept new staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Travel experience is required.
• Orthopedic and scrubbing experience is essential.
• Experience with Davinci surgical systems is required.
• Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred or a current New York State LPN license eligible.
• Knowledge of cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection protocols for surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Additional Information

The candidate must be able to arrive within 30 minutes of being called in for any assignments.
