About the Position

Job Title: CST/ORT - First Assist Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: First Assist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 17:15 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Licensed FA with Board of Medicine Certifications: Required certifications Must-Have: Proficient in Orthopedics, Da Vinci, and Neuro Description: This position involves working in a surgical setting. The unit includes 10 main operating rooms with a patient ratio of 1:1. Staffing consists of a circulator and a first assist in each room. Familiarity with OR equipment is essential. Documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduled shifts are 10 hours, with rotations for call on weeknights and weekends. There is no floating policy in place. Candidates should be knowledgeable in procedures such as craniotomy, spine fusion, liver resection, Whipple, and MAKO total joint. Advanced skills in Orthopedics and trauma are also required. Scrubs will be provided as part of the required uniform. Unit-specific policies and guidelines must be followed.
