Job Description
TITLE
Physical Therapist

SCHEDULE
Shift: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (can work 8 to 10 hour days)

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Guaranteed Hours: 40
Contract Weeks: 13

REQUIREMENTS
- Active Michigan Physical Therapist License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Experience in physical therapy

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate patients' functions through formal and informal testing to assess their skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment data and patients' tolerance to treatment.
- Submit written treatment regimes as part of the authorized plan of treatment and update as necessary.
- Schedule treatment sessions, discussing frequency and duration with patients and caregivers, and coordinating with clinical support staff.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on conditions and treatment options through various interventions.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- One Sunday per month of on-call duty required.
