Forklift Operator - 1st Shift


Location: Mesa, AZ
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM-1:00 PM
Pay: $19/hour
Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary


We are seeking a dependable 1st Shift Forklift Operator to join a food manufacturing team. This role is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, stage, and store finished food products while supporting production and warehouse operations. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for permanent placement based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move and transport finished food products
• Load, unload, stage, and store product in designated areas
• Support production lines by supplying materials and removing finished goods
• Maintain accurate inventory through proper product handling and documentation
• Inspect forklift before use and report any maintenance issues
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements

• Forklift experience required
• Ability to work 1st shift, Monday-Friday
• Ability to handle and work around finished food products safely
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Preferred Qualifications

• Food handling or food manufacturing experience a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Familiarity with GMP and food safety standards
