Here, you will make an impact by:Working on new product development teams to lead them in translating customer requirements into robust, relevant test methods for product performanceDesigning experiments to optimize test methodsCoordinating testing and translating data into insights for product developmentEstablishing an extensive network of support (corporate research, laboratory, manufacturing, engineering) to help facilitate completion of assignmentsCommunicating at all levels of the organization to drive direction Functioning as a technical resource within immediate work groupYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in technical field (completed and verified prior to start) AND One year of experience in physical test method development in a private, public, government or military environment ORAssociate’s degree from an accredited institution in technical field (completed and verified prior to start) AND (5) years of experience in physical test method development in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Demonstrated project leadership experience, teamwork, and communication skills.Experience with use of abrasive productsExperience with Design of Experiments methodologyStatistical analysis experienceExperience with LabviewExperience with FANUC or Kuka robotsWork location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
