Job Summary Texas Concrete Placement, Inc has an opening for an experienced and seasoned Concrete Superintendent Field Manager. In this position you will be responsible for the management and scheduling of multiple residential and light commercial projects located in and around the greater Houston area. Applicants must have either 3 years home building experience or at least 2 years experience in the following types of foundation systems: post tension, conventional, and pier and beam foundations, as well as paving and flat work. Experience in Houston and the surrounding area is a plus. Applicants must also have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Applicants must be able to read plans/blue prints and fully understand, interpret, and communicate the details both with written and verbal accuracy. Values & Expectations See it, Own it, Solve it, Do it process focused Eager to become part of the solution Show respect for others and their feelings Show respect for others’ time and schedules Demonstrate respect for yourself, as well as ownership and pride in your work Able to “act now” mentally and keep a sharp focus Able to ask the question, “What else can I do?” and act on it Willing to investigate: “What coaching or continuing education should I participate in?” Constantly striving for more, and evaluating: “What can I do better?” Responsibilities Be on time Maintain a self-image that is always presentable to clients while on the job Clearly and respectfully communicate with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, management, and fellow employees Maintain an overall schedule of projects, adjusting as necessary based on a number of factors Provide oversight to the work planning process by independently projecting, scheduling, and streamlining needs for materials, subcontractors, and machinery Uphold Texas Concrete Placement, Inc.’s standards of quality, time line, and communication with all parties involved in the construction process of a project Build, maintain, and grow healthy long-standing relationships with customers, vendors, suppliers, crews, office staff, and management Identify problems early and have an act now mentality to get them resolved promptly and independently with the correct solution Comply with administrative expectations, i.e., paperwork, vendor invoices, due dates for forms, utilization of company technology and software solutions Understand and ensure that local, state, and federal regulations are followed Oversee work to ensure that it is completed to company standards, on-time, and meets requirements based on plans, engineering, and regulations that vary by jurisdiction Comply with company safety standards and enforce those on the jobsite Qualifications & Requirements Must be able to prove knowledge of reading blue prints and details within the interview Bilingual is not necessary, but some understanding of Spanish is a plus Must have knowledge of basic office software programs – knowledge of Builder Trend and/or Plan Swift software a plus Must have reliable transportation in the form of a pick-up truck, a clean driving record, and no criminal history (This position require extensive daily travel throughout the greater Houston region while managing multiple jobsites and projects.) Must be skilled at pulling a 16’ flat-bed trailer with truck on occasion Must be able to provide references Must have at least a high school diploma or GED, college is preferred, but not mandatory Must be in good physical condition Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
