Bus Aide

Attendant / Bus AideMV Transportation is seeking an Attendant / Bus Aide to provide assistance to operators and passengers for safe transportation as well as to monitor passenger activity on the vehicle while enroute.Responsibilities:Assist passengers on and off of vehicles to door and ensure engagement of appropriate passenger securementsMaintain order on vehicle during transport and proper client monitoringAct as liaison between client agency personnel and operations staff, ensuring accurate attendance and delivery of clientsEffectively communicate problems or situations and proactively working to resolving issues that affect agency clients, caretakers and other passengersAide vehicle operator in the event of accident or passenger emergency in securing the vehicle and safety removing all passengers where necessaryDiffuse difficult situations in a positive manner and with respect to the needs of the passengersEnsure safe and clean vehicle condition at the start and end of each shiftCommunicate effectively with dispatch or central office personnel via two way radioAssist operators in navigating and finding locations where necessaryProfessional demeanor and appearanceReliable in attendanceTeam player and helpful to staff, management, and peersMaintain a safe work area and a focus on safety to reduce the opportunity for injury to self or other employeesQualifications:High School diploma or equivalentExperience with passenger assistance or working with persons with disabilitiesMonitoring passengers or groups of people in an enclosed environmentExcellent customer service skillsMap reading and directional skillsAbility to lift 50 poundsStarting Pay Rate: $20.85/hourMV Transportation is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status, genetic information or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state or local laws, regulations or ordinances.Where permissible under applicable state and local law, applicants may be subject to a pre-employment drug test and background check after receiving a conditional offer of employment.
