Step into a rewarding part-time role supporting middle school students in their communication journey! This contract opportunity offers the chance to use your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist, focusing on 6th to 8th graders for the full school year. You’ll work 0.4 to 2 days per week, making a direct impact in the lives of students who have IEPs, as well as a select group needing speech support only.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current SLP-CCC credential required
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an SLP in Illinois
• Prior experience in a school setting preferred, especially with students on IEPs
• Comfortable working with both special education and general education populations
• Experience with teletherapy or readiness to provide remote services if needed
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and deliver therapy for students with speech and language needs in grades 6–8
• Write and implement targeted IEP goals and objectives for students with identified speech-language impairments
• Serve speech-only students, collaborating closely with teachers and parents to support progress
• Document progress, maintain compliance with state and federal educational standards, and participate in IEP meetings
• Provide both in-person and virtual (as needed) therapy services to ensure continuity of care
