We are looking for a Full Time pediatric Dental Assistant

About Our Office

At Island Pediatric Dentistry you can expect a small friendly team, patient centered dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional care in a fun, compassionate, and safe environment. We pride ourselves on teamwork, patient-centered care, and creating positive dental experiences for families.

We are currently seeking a  motivated and caring Dental Assistant to join our growing team. Pediatric experience is preferred but we are happy to train the right candidate with a positive attitude and strong work ethic, for obvious reasons must be very comfortable with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures
• Prepare and break down treatment rooms
• Sterilize and organize instruments and equipment
• Take dental X-rays (as permitted by state regulations)
• Comfort, guide, and reassure pediatric patients and parents
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
• Support front office or clinical team as needed
• Help maintain upkeep of office
• Keep a positive demeanor Infront of families

Qualifications

• Dental assistant experience is highly preferred
• Pediatric dental experience is a huge plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, patient, and friendly , particularly with children and young adults
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
