The opportunity Join our globally integrated team of dedicated indirect tax professionals and you’ll have the opportunity to combine your technical knowledge and industry understanding to identify, secure, and recover unclaimed property for our clients. You’ll combine analytical skills, client service, and industry knowledge to uncover recovery opportunities, manage complex claims, and deliver measurable financial value. You’ll spend much of your time engaging in the execution and delivery of unclaimed property asset recovery engagements, developing recovery strategies, and overseeing complex claim portfolios to maximize asset recoveries and improve outcomes. We’ll look to you to develop strong relationships with our clients and government contacts, and to collaborate with internal resources while coaching junior team members. To make that happen, you’ll leverage your expertise in unclaimed property recovery processes, claim administration, and ownership research, all within a highly collaborative culture where sharing information is essential. Your key responsibilities Lead asset recovery engagements and manage workstream delivery, including tracking statuses and deliverables. Identify opportunities for additional services, contribute to RFPs, manage engagement economics, and implement resource plans and budgets. Guide teams, drive process improvements, and develop practical solutions to validate ownership, documentation, and recovery challenges. Assist in and oversee researching, preparing, filing, and monitoring claims with agencies and jurisdictions. Communicate directly with sources to resolve claim issues, obtain supporting documentation, and facilitate claim processing. Review complex ownership structures, mergers, acquisitions, and successor relationships to support recovery claims. Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely and responsive services and work products. Stay informed of current technical developments and apply knowledge effectively to client situations. Thoroughly analyze information; prepare high‑quality, practical approaches to clients’ unclaimed property situations and arrive at appropriate conclusions. Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex unclaimed property concepts. Participate in and contribute to achieving team goals. To qualify for the role, you must have A bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting, finance, government, or business administration, and five years of related work experience. CPA certification, membership in the U.S. Bar, or a professional designation from the IOFM. Technical expertise and experience related to unclaimed property asset recovery (preferred). Excellent managerial, organizational, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills. What we offer you Comprehensive compensation and benefits package, with base salary ranging from $105,100 to $192,600 across the U.S. (New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California ranges are $126,100 to $218,900). Salary is determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
