International Tax and Transaction Services - Capital Markets Manager Location: New York, Washington, Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston Role Overview The NTD Capital Markets Tax Practice assists with the provision of tax advisory services with respect to domestic and cross‑border financial transactions and structures, including cash management, debt and equity instruments, derivatives, financial products, foreign currency, and hedging activities. Services include transaction planning and implementation, research and analysis of complex tax issues, and writing tax memoranda. Responsibilities Interact with firm professionals from multiple tax disciplines—international tax, IRS practice and procedure, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, real estate, leasing, accounting methods, and foreign tax—to provide timely, high‑quality services that meet or exceed client expectations. Serve as a trusted advisor and role model across teams, building a diverse network of collaborative colleagues. Coach and develop a highly trained team, focusing on quality and commercial value. Key Skills and Attributes Identifying and answering complex domestic and international tax issues. Providing technical tax advice and planning services to a portfolio of projects. Transactional experience and exposure to foreign currency concepts. Building long‑lasting relationships with clients and understanding their unique needs. Leading a dedicated client service team, providing performance feedback, and ensuring growth. Continuously developing knowledge and staying current with emerging trends, technologies, and practices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field, or a Juris Doctorate in Law. U.S. state CPA license (or equivalent transferrable license) or state bar membership. Exceptional writing and speaking skills to communicate complex tax concepts. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects. Collaborative team player. Minimum four years of experience in professional services or a professional tax organization. Preferred Qualifications Proven record in a professional services environment. Experience coaching and mentoring junior colleagues. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast‑paced professional services environment. Benefits Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with a base salary range of $141,900 to $260,100 (U.S.) and $170,300 to $295,500 for the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento).
