Attorney/Lawyer

We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to provide contract-focused support for complex project work in Chicago, Illinois. This Long-term Contract position plays a key role in guiding agreement administration, coordinating contract communications, and helping project teams address risk, schedule, and cost-related issues. The role partners closely with legal, procurement, project leadership, and external business parties to safeguard commercial interests and maintain strong contract controls.Responsibilities:• Oversee the daily administration of joint venture agreements, commercial contracts, and subcontracts across active projects.• Partner with legal counsel, project teams, and external stakeholders to draft, issue, and track formal contract notices and related communications.• Review contract terms, notice obligations, and project developments to help ensure compliance and support sound contract management decisions.• Identify delay events, disruptions, and added cost exposures, and assist teams in documenting impacts tied to partners, clients, subcontractors, or suppliers.• Support the evaluation of scope changes and project developments that may justify client change orders or other contractual remedies.• Coordinate responses to requests and communications from subcontractors and suppliers while helping maintain alignment across internal teams.• Keep procurement and legal stakeholders informed of claims, notices, disputes, and other significant contract-related developments.• Maintain organized and accurate records of correspondence, notices, RFIs, and other key contract administration documents.• Contribute to issue resolution efforts with internal teams and joint venture partners to protect contractual and commercial interests.• Participate in a hybrid work arrangement with regular in-office collaboration and occasional travel to project sites as needed.
