Property Maintenance

Work location is 360 Zeandale Rd. Manhattan, KS

Work schedule will most often be between 7am and 3:30pm or 8am and 4:30pm.

August-January some special exceptions will apply to the work schedule such as snow removal work.

February-July we will need someone with extended/flexible availability to work early mornings, evenings or weekends as needed to help take care of emergency or high priority issues during our busy season.

Farm/Headquarters (Manhattan, KS) Responsibilities

Regular Ongoing Duties:

· Mow, weed eat and spray weed killer on the property weekly as needed.

· Assist in clearing snow on main paths and lot. And applying ice melt as needed. (This task might require reporting to work early to complete before other staff arive). 

· General building upkeep as needed.

· Up keep/clean breakroom and employee restrooms weekly.

· Stock and replace supplies in the bathroom and breakroom areas.

· Pick up debris and trash that have blown around the property.

· Routine Maintenance

o Regular oil changes on street vehicles.

o Check and maintain golf cart/ buggy batteries.

o Check and maintain tires on golf carts/buggies, vehicles and wagons.

Retail (Busy Season) Responsibilities

(Location in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa and Oklahoma travel time is why extended/flexible scheduling will be needed Februrary-July)

· Be available to meet with city inspectors, contractors when needed.

· Assist in preparing for store inspections or build installations.

· Small repairs on retail greenhouses, parking lots or utilities.

· Teach retail staff how to operate utilities when needed such as the use of our solar battery system.

· Mowing, weed eating and tree trimming retail sites when needed.

· Drive emergency supply needs to stores.

· Paint or install signage as needed (such as handicap parking signs).

Required Abilities

• Clean driving record. 
• Ability to work on your feet for 8-10 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

• Landscape/Yard Maintenance Experience
• Mechanical Knowledge
• Light Electrical/Plumbing Experience

Position starts at $18/hr
